September 2008 People's Square Centre Housewarming Party Brings Students Together
On Thursday, September 4, Mandarin House hosted a Housewarming Party to celebrate the move of its intensive courses to the brand new People's Square Flagship Centre. About 50 students attended the completely free event and all had a great night.
As the party coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival period, students had a chance to learn more about the culture and origins of this traditional Chinese festival and heard the tragic love story of Chang E and Hou Yi.
During the second part, everybody learnt to make dumplings and after boiling them had a great meal. In the end we all had a wonderful time getting to know each other. Look out for our October event to be announced soon.
