On Saturday, students of Mandarin House went on a fun trip to Zhujiajiao, Shanghai's premier water town. It was a beautiful, warm and sunny day, so everyone was in a good mood and ready to enjoy themselves. On the short bus trip, one of our teachers held a special Chinese lesson to help the students complete the Photo Scavenger Hunt.

Three teams set out on their task to locate the five places in the photos, a competition element which gave our students a good chance to practice their Chinese with the locals. The souvenir and snack shopping was also a lot of fun with the haggling and tasting.

An authentic lunch provided a nice break, where students could try out the different specialties of the region. In the afternoon, we took a boat ride along the picturesque canals, getting a perfect view of the town, its bridges and traditional homes.
