| Q. How many levels does Mandarin House have? |
| A. Mandarin House offers 5 main levels at general Chinese programi, from total beginner through advanced. |

| Q. When do Mandarin House courses start? |
| A. Non-beginners may start on any Monday. Mandarin House has official start dates for total beginners. |

| Q. How will I know my level? |
| A. On your arrival at our school, Mandarin House will give you a placement test consisting of a grammar written test and an oral interview. Based on this test, you will be placed into the appropriate level for each class. |

| Q. When do I move levels? |
| A. At the end of every level, your teacher will evaluate your progress and make recommendations for you to advance to the next level. |

You also have the opportunity to study at more than one Mandarin House location. |

| Q. Where do your students come from? |
| A. Mandarin House teaches students from more than 70 different countries from around the world. The actual percentages vary with the season and with the school. In general, 30% of our students come from North America, 30% come from West Europe, the rest come from other parts of the world. |

| Q. What age are the students? |
| A. Students of all ages have studied at Mandarin House from 5 to 75 years! Most of our students average between 23 and 35 years old. |

Questions About Visa |
| Q. Which type of visa should I apply? |
| A. You should apply for a L Visa (tourist visa) by your flight tickets before you enter in China. This visa is normally valid for 30 to 90 days. Mandarin House will help you to find a qualified visa agent in China to extend your visa if necessary. |

| Q. Can Mandarin House provide JW201 or JW202 form? |
| A. Mandarin House does not provide these forms. JW201 and JW202 forms are for those students who attend academic programs in universities. |

| A. Mandarin House arranges plenty after class activities and weekend excursions . We offer a variety of cultural and sport activities each month to provide even more opportunities for you to practice your Chinese and learn about the culture in China. |

| Q. Where will I live while I study at Mandarin House? |
| A. Mandarin House offers a variety of accommodations. Our most popular option is Single Room Shared Apartment. We can also arrange Private Studio Apartments, Service Apartments, Hostel or Hotel accommodations, Host Family Accommodation upon your request. |
